This month was filled with ARCs, editing, and finishing up my re-read of Sarah J. Maas’ Throne of Glass series before moving on to her Crescent City series! There were a LOT of good reads this month, including Olena Nikitin’s Oath of Betrayal, Rebecca Ethington’s Crimson Stained Catalyst, and more!
We continue on with another re-read of yet another of Sarah J. Maas’ amazing series this June – Throne of Glass! Other titles read this month include Hall of Mirrors by John Copenhaver and Oath of Betrayal by Olena Nikitin.
In March 2024, we were treated to a fantastical array of novels across genres. Day Leitao’s “A Cursed Son” mesmerized as a romantasy, blending enemies-to-lovers intrigue with dreamy connections while Ingrid Seymour’s “House of the Raven” unfolded an epic fantasy of vengeance and twists. These offerings, among others, offered magic, love, and intrigue.
Book 2 of the Amber Legends series, Olena Nikitin’s Fangs and Family focuses on the complex relationship between vampire Adam and human nurse Nina, set against the backdrop of modern Poland. With tension, passion, and snarky banter, their journey of self-discovery and danger unfolds, creating a captivating urban fantasy filled with vampires, Slavic mythology, and ancient artifacts.
In this January 2024 wrap-up, a spectrum of literary experiences unfolded, earning ratings ranging from 3 to 5 stars. Rebecca Yarros’s ‘Fourth Wing’ showcased aerial prowess, while K.L. Ziggler’s ‘Of Spies and Shadows’ skillfully interwove magic into the romantasy genre. Ash Remington’s ‘Isolating Contact’ stood out as a compelling intergalactic science fiction narrative.
